Walking in Snowdonia The area around Betws-y-Coed has something to offer all walkers all year round whether you are looking for forest walks, the Welsh 3,000 ft peaks, wide open moorland or river walks with stunning waterfalls. Choose the bleak moorland above Penmachno, the fertile and lush Machno, Lledr and Conwy Valleys, the Gwydir Forest, the Glyders and Carneddau, or of course the ever popular ascent up Snowdon. All these can be found within the Croeso Betws area. There are plenty of places to eat at the end of a days walking, and Betws-y-Coed and Capel Curig have numerous Outdoor Shops to tempt you (look out for their sale rooms!). All the B&Bs and campsites on our site welcome walkers, so why not come and experience the Real Wales for yourself! |
